This site was originally started by Katja back in 2000 (?) who wanted to provide a reliable source for any Leonor fan browsing the web and also to show her support for the talent that Miss Varela is. Mel just helped her out with pictures, graphics and other stuff, but when she saw one day that the website was not updated anymore and she could not reach Katja, she decided to take over and to revive the project, which she then did. ;) The new site was launched in May 2005 under the domain leonor-varela.org and was hosted by eFanGuide.com. After some weeks, Mel got contacted by Katja who had not lost interest, but could not go online due to her busy time schedule. She then jumped aboard and became a co-webby.
Over all the years that this site has been online we have always been supported by Leonor herself - she left messages in her official forum and our guestbook and was incredibly sweet to us. I just wanted to say once again that this is amazing and means the world to me. Leonor inspires me in so many things, and I am just glad to be able to give something back by running this site. In my eyes, Leonor is not only a fantastic actress but also a wonderful, dedicated, sophisticated and funny person. I think it is fabulous that she speaks so many languages (being a language-fan myself) and I truly look up to her.
I am definitely looking forward to supporting Leonor's career in the future in every way that I can, and I want to thank everyone who has contributed to this site, especially Robert from New York City! Let's keep rocking! ;)
